Welcome to the website of Dutch chromatic harp player Mirjam.
Please read about the chromatic harp, watch the videos and let me know what you think!
I'm a classical trained harpist, and I saw the chromatic (6x6 ) harp for the first time in 2007 at a concert of Rheidung Slesinger.
The harp manufacturer Hans den Brok was there with his own designed chromatic harp.
Me, playing mostly classical music, but with a love for baroque harp and interest in jazz music, was happy to rent the harp for a try.
After some years of playing I discovered that it's not the easiest or most convenient harp to play, but the joy of playing classical, folk, early and jazz music on a harp without pedals or levers and the fun of discovering new playing techniques is so big that it's worth to keep trying.
I now play on a chromatic harp built by Otto Zangerle.
Unfortunately my first chromatic harp (from Hans den Brok, +2007) was stolen in december 2012 (together with other instruments) and not found since.

On this website you can read more about the 6x6 chromatic harp, about the history of chromatic harps, watch videos and pictures and find links to other chromatic harp sites and players.
